Slovenian "Petrol" and Russian "Lukoil" founded joint venture

The representatives of Slovenian oil company "Petrol" and Russian giant "Lukoil" have signed the agreement in Ljubljana on founding of joint venture for trade in oil derivatives in central and southeast Europe and, on that occasion, they expressed their interest in taking part in the privatization of Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS).
The executive manager of "Petrol", Marko Križanovski, said that the terms of privatization of NIS were still unknown, so that the final decision on participation had not been made yet.

As it is already known, Hungarian "Mol", Austrian "OMV" and Greel "Hellenic Petroleum" have also expressed their interest in privatization of NIS.
The newly founded joint venture will be called "Petrol Lukoil" and its headquarters will be in Slovenia. "Petrol" will be the majority owner with 51% of stocks, whereas the remaining 49% will be the property of Russian giant.
