Dutch millionaire interested in Pivovarna Lasko

Dutch millionaire and owner of the ZBG group, Frank Zweegers, is interested in taking over Pivovarna Lasko.

Representatives of this group will negotiate in Ljubljana with the managers of Pivovarna Lasko, which urgently requires an investor because a EUR 370 million loan it took out is becoming due for payment in late March.

According to the Ljubljana Dnevnik daily, representatives of ZBG are staying in Slovenia where they have meetings with Pivovarna managers. It is still unknown if Zweegers is interested in buying the whole group, its beverages division or real estates.

According to the media, Pivovarna Lasko is currently worth only EUR 60 million on the stock exchange, which is mainly a result of its big liabilities that are estimated at EUR 370 million.
