International conference of public transportation companies to be held at end of September in Belgrade

Regional Conference for Central and East Europe and Euro-Asia of the International Association of Public TRansport (UITP) will be held on September 26, 27 and 28, 2006, in Belgrade-based hotel "Intercontinental".

At the summit of UITP, of which host and co-organizer is City Transportation Company "Beograd", the most important theme of the discussions will be "Technical, regional and corporate elements of successful modernization of city and regional public transport".

Special attention will be given to the development of the surface railway system.

The work of the meeting will be backed by about 150 traffic experts from all around the world and the President of UITP, Roberto Cavalieri, will also take part in the meeting.
