Filming of a new thriller directed by Joseph McGinty and produced by EuropaCorp, which is owned by Luc Besson, will bring a gaggle of stars including Costner to Serbia in the spring, BalkanInsight reports.
The shooting of a new movie, under the working title "Three Days to Kill," is expected to continue in Serbia in April, with the cast including Kevin Costner, Amber Heard, Hailee Steinfeld and Connie Nielsen.
The first shots have been filmed over the last few days in Paris.
Joseph McGinty is known to wide audiences as the director of movies such as Charlie's Angels and Terminator Salvation and the cult television series Fastlane. He has produced numerous television programs, such as The O.C., Chuck, and Supernatural.
His new thriller is about a secret service agent who agrees to return from retirement for one last mission, in exchange for access to an experimental drug that could save his life. The screenplay is by Luc Besson and Adi Hassak.
This is the second movie from Besson's production house, EuropaCorp, to be filmed in Serbia. A science-fiction thriller, "Lock Out," was filmed in Belgrade in 2010.
This film is expected to return Costner on a path of fame after in recent years he dedicated more time to making music and touring with his country-rock band, Modern West.
