The Bulgarian antitrust authority has allowed Serbia's NIS Petrol to buy eight filling stations in Plovdiv, Burgas, Lovec and Asenovgrad.
These stations are owned by four different companies, and their sale to NIS Petrol was announced back in late August 2012.
NIS Petrol is a fully-owned subsidiary of the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS), which is controlled by the Russian oil giant Gazprom Neft.
Before getting a green light from the Bulgarian antitrust authority, NIS Petrol ensured the acquisition of the total of 19 gas stations in Bulgaria.
In this way, NIS Petrol will acquire a 0.6 percent stake in the Bulgarian gasoline retail market.
