Sika Srbija, which is engaged in the production and sale of building materials, announced Wednesday that it would invest close to EUR 5 million in projects in 2013.

- We plan to buy a land for a factory and to constantly improve our technologies - Sika Srbija CEO Dragan Maksimovic said at a ceremony celebrating the company's first decade in Serbia.

As the company said in a release (srb.sika.com), Maksimovic pointed out that the turnover in 2012 was close to RSD 1.5 billion, with exports accounting for over 10 percent of that amount.

He also said that the best proof of Sika's constant progress in Serbia was the fact that the company had increased the number of employees from only 3 in 2002 to 55 in 2012.

As he noted, Sika has either partially or completely participated in all construction projects implemented in Serbia this year.

Sika Srbija operates as part of the Swiss company Sika, which is globally active in the production of special chemical products for use in construction and industry. It was founded in 1910.
