Government of Serbia to have highway sections from Leskovac to Macedonian border and from Niš to Dimitrovgrad built from its own sources

Prime Minister of Serbia, Vojislav Koštunica, announced that the Government had made the decision to finance construction of highway sections Leskovac-Macedonian border and Niš-Dimitrovgrada.
Koštunica said that it was big strategic investment that Serbia, after long time, would finance by itself, which was the best proof that the economy of Serbia was finally on its feet.

Minister of Finance, Mlađan Dinkić, said that it was the investment worth about 900m EUR, 100m EUR of which would be provided by the Greek Government, whereas the rest would be provided from the means of the National Investment Plan.
Dinkić said that he had sent the letter to the Paris Club with the suggestion that Serbia's foreign debt of 1 billion USD be exchanged for the investments in Corridor 10, ecological projects and construction of local infrastructure in poor municipalities.
