According to the Novi Sad Dnevnik, the most serious candidates for assuming the liabilities and assets of the Development Bank of Vojvodina (RBV) are former Volksbank (now Sberbank), France's Societe Generale, and Italy's UniCredit Bank.

RBV will be taken over by the best bidder, and the whole procedure should be completed in January.

In addition to 80,000 depositors, the new owner will also assume EUR 110 million worth of insured deposits and another EUR 100 million uninsured deposits. The latter will be covered by the issue of up to EUR 70 million bond, to which AP Vojvodina will contribute 78.11 percent, whereas the rest will be provided by the Republic of Serbia.

RBV has 586 employees, 200 of whom work at the headquarters and offices in Novi Sad, whereas the rest of them work at other business units, mainly in the province.
