Over 500 families of disabled war veterans in Serbia to get homes prir to end of 2007

With the donation of the Japanese Government and the money from the National Investment Plan of Government of Serbia, over 500 apartments for disabled war veterans and families of killed soldiers will be built prior to the end of the next year.

The representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Policy, Embassy of Japan to Belgrade and City of Novi Sad laid the cornerstone for the construction of two buildings, intended for disable war veterans, in Novi Sad's settlement Klisa, which will include 24 apartments of surface of 30 - 50 square meters.

Thanks to the special investment fund of the Government of Japan of about 5m USD, 208 apartments will be built for these families in 11 cities of Serbia, whereas another 310 will be built prior to the end of the next year thanks to about 4.5m EUR from the National Investment Plan.
