Mercator up for sale again - Memorandum of Cooperation signed by owners of 53.18-percent stake

A consortium of Mercator owners holding the total of 53.18 percent of shares has decided to sell the largest Slovenian retailer. They yesterday signed a Memorandum of Cooperation outlining the terms, scope and duration of cooperation between the members of shareholder consortium and the company in the sale of Mercator shares.

This is the ninth attempt at selling this company. The next step is to launch an international call for non-binding bids, which will be accepted by end-January or February. Then the financial advisor ING will assess the bids, after which all quality bidders will be invited to submit their binding bids.
