The Oil industry of Serbia will be signing a contract with "Shell global solutions" in the period of august/september 2006. The contract is about the usage of a program which will save the company from 100 to 155 million USD a year.

The countract should be signed for a period of 2 - 3 years with a possibility of breaking it after a year, and the usage of it should begin by the end of 2006. It is not precisely yet how much this will cost the serbian oil company, but Shell traditionaly takes about 20-30% of the savings it makes for the companies they sign with - in this case 40 - 50 million USD.

(Savings to better operatin)

Several months ago, NIS has, with the help of the Energetic ministry, engaged "Shell GS", the delivery of the dutch-british oil giant "Royal Dutch - Shell", to make a optimalization plan of operation after the reconstruction in three months. They prepared a program with defined chanses for improvement which is "estimated to have a chance of saving costs and make extra profit in the amount of 100 to 155 million USD a year".

The "Shell" analyzis has mostly been turned towards the adaptation and traffic, and the measures are everything from the new way of management and fuel selling to stopping of thefts.
