Civil protection service in Serbia, thanks to US donation, obtained new equipment for repairing of damages caused by natural disasters

The Ambassador of USA to Belgrade, Michael Polt, handed today (August 23, 2006) 1.2m USD worth of donation in form of equipment for repairing of damages caused by natural disasters to the representatives of the Government of Serbia SAD in Pančevo.

American Ambassador said that the donation was the proof that USA was willing to invest in the future of Serbia and that USA had long-term interest in cooperation with Serbia.

On that occasion, Polt announced commencement of construction of 100m USD worth of new building of US embassy in Belgrade.
