DJILAS: City to return money to Delreal

City of Belgrade has set aside RSD 650 million to refund Delreal, said Belgrade Mayor Dragan Djilas.

Djilas told the National Broadcasting Corporation (RTS) that the company Delta Real Estate had filed a request with the City for the refund based on the termination of the right to use the land in New Belgrade's Block 53.

Djilas added that he had heard that the company had requested more money, but he underlined that Belgrade would set aside RSD 650 million.

- If they don't want to take our offer, we will go to the court - said the mayor of Belgrade.

He added that Belgrade would take over that land and put it on the auction block.

- We shall see if someone is interested in buying it, so we may also learn how much it is worth - said Djilas.
