Knjazevac-based S.C.S. Plus prepares to export solid wood chairs to Germany


Knjazevac-based S.C.S. Plus plans to start exporting a new product in its portfolio - solid wood chair, to Germany in 2013.
- We expect to sign an agreement with German partners within the next few days. That agreement worth EUR 250,000 would help us increase our exports in 2013 by 7 percent -S.C.S. Plus CEO Lidija Nikolic says to eKapija.
This company from Knjazevac also makes seats, rests and bodies from compressed beech veneer and exports them to the Netherland, Sweden and Austria in addition to Germany.
- We've almost finished the construction of a new 500 sqm production facility, which is already equipped with new machines. New experts are hired, and we constantly explore new markets and send out samples because we want to expand the list of countries buying our products - Ms. Nikolic adds.
S.C.S. Plus operates since 1997 and has 120 workers. This furniture maker exports about 90 percent of its products, with the annual value of exports amounting to EUR 3 million.
By the way, Lidija Nikolic, who is the director of this company since its establishment, won this year's Special Award for the Best Woman Entrepreneur, presented by SIEPA for the second consecutive year.
