Gomma Line to open new factory in Kragujevac - Jobs for another 20 workers


Kragujevac-based Gomma Line, the producer of rubber components for cars, plans to open a new 700 square meter production facility in January 2013 and, thus, open up a possibility of hiring another 20 workers or so.
A 2,000 sqm factory of this company is situated in the industrial zone Petrovac in Kragujevac and currently employs 85 workers, 17 of whom got job this year.
- The total value of exports in the first nine months of this year is close to EUR 2.5 million, and it is expected to exceed EUR 4 million by the year's end - Gomma Line CEO Nenad Cvetkovic told eKapija.
Gomma Line has always been a 100% export-oriented company. Its rubber technical parts for motor vehicles are exported to Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, whereas the export to the western market, Germany and France, and former Yugoslav republics started two years ago.
- We expect to sign several new contracts with companies from Italy and Germany in the following period, and we also strive to increase the volume of operations in our old export market, in the countries of former Soviet Union - Cvetkovic added.
Gomma Line is also one of the few Serbian companies that produces components for the Fiat 500L.
Aside from the factory in Kragujevac, this company also has offices in Moscow and Ljubljana.
At a ceremony held at Metropol Palace Hotel on December 6th, the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) presented Gomma Line with the Exporter of the Year Award in the category of small and medium-sized enterprises, whereas Komercijalna Banka handed a check for EUR 10,000 to this company to improve its export activities, uručila je ček u iznosu od 10.000 EUR za unapređenje izvoznih aktivnosti, na svečanosti 6. decembra koja je održana u hotelu "Metropol Palace".
