NLB Banka Beograd's core capital increased by EUR 45 million

NLB Banka Beograd said in a release that it had increased its core capital by the total of EUR 45 million. Of that amount, EUR 15 million is the value of the subordinated loan converted to the core capital, whereas EUR 30 million is the value of the capital increase in cash.

As it was explained, NLB Banka Beograd has thus significantly strengthened its capital base. This additional capital represents a strong support to the development of its activities aimed at strengthening the cooperation with the economy and citizens in the market. Also, this capital increase will make it possible for the Bank to operate more securely in line with Basel II standards and to improve its position in the banking sector of Serbia.

The capital increase was carried out by the owner - NLB Ljubljana, which thus provided an additional support to the operations of NLB Banka in Serbia.
