Spatial plan for Stara mountain to be finished prior to end of year 2007

- The spatial plan with the smallest details about tourist facilities, which should make Stara mountain the biggest tourist center on the territory between Switzerland and Bulgaria, will be ready by the end of year 2007 - the deputy of the manager of Agency for Development of that mountain, Vidojko Panajotović, stated.

Accordig to the announcements of the President of Serbia, Boris Tadić, and the Minister of Finance, Mlađan Dinkić, 2.5m EUR will be invested in development of tourism in "intact nature" of Stara mountain.

According to the impression of journalists fro local and republic media who recently visited that area together with the officials of the Municipality of Pirot, the most attractive part of Stara mountain is Mramor where the hotel complex will be built. That complex will be able to serve 23,000 tourists on daily basis.

There is an agency on Mramor that was founded two years ago by Town Hall of Pirot and company "Tigar" and its primary activity is the tourism development.

Town Hall of Pirot decided to ask from Government of Serbia to allow it to manage Stara mountain, because two thirds of this mountain are on the territory of the Pirot region.
