Dunav Minerals discovers gold deposit containing 78 tonnes of gold near Medvedja

Dunav Minerals, which explores copper and gold deposits in a place called Tulare in the municipality of Medvedja, announced Wednesday that it had established the existence of 800,000 tonnes of copper and 78 tonnes of gold in that location.
- Based on the final estimate of mineral reserves in Tulare, it has been established that there are 300 million tonnes of ore containing 0.27 percent of copper and 0.26g of gold per tonne - Dunav Minerals Exploration Manager Phil Fox told the press.
As Fox noted, Dunav Minerals has invested over USD 15 million in exploration works over the last two years.
- Dunav Minerals has already started working on a preliminary mining study under this project, which will help us determine economic and technological aspects of how the future mine could operate - he said.
Fox announced that initial studies could be published as early as next year.
- Most of the people on our exploration team are from the local community, and we are all aware of the historic mining potential in this area - Fox stressed.
Dunav Minerals is a domestic company with the Canadian capital. It employs more than 30 people, mainly from Medvedja and its surroundings.
