American citizen Jeremy Janes (30) is the first person in USA convicted of spam sending, i.e. sending of unwanted electronic mails. Janes, known as one of 8 "the most productive" American spammers, was sentenced to 9-year prison term in Federal State of Virginia.
Janes used to send average of 10 million of illegal e-mails per day and he used to earn about 750,000 USD on monthly basis from the sale of the products and services he advertised in his messages.
