ContiTech starts serial production of car parts in Subotica - Factory employing close to 100 workers

ContiTech Fluid Serbia, car parts factory operating as part of Germany's Continental, has kicked off serial production in Mali Bajmok Business Zone in Subotica.

As ContiTech Fluid Serbia Director Zivko Topalovic told Tanjug news agency, implementation of the first project has already started at the factory - production of engine parts for Audi vehicles assembled in the town of Gyor, Hungary. Topalovic is pleased with previous results.

- The feedback we get from the client is positive - he said.

According to his words, the company currently employs about 100 workers, mainly people from Subotica, as well as managers from other continents.

- This factory is only as good as people working at it are professional, conscientious and disciplined in their actions. We've searched for and selected the best candidates capable of implementing this complex project - said Topalovic.

He noted that the guiding idea in the company's development was to exclusively focus on clients, adding that they required a great support from the surroundings in Subotica – the free zone, freight-forwarders, customs...

He pointed out that people at the headquarters of the Continental Group were satisfied with their previous results.

Speaking about the position of the company and the whole group in the global market, he said they were "competing against top players in the field of automotive technology."

- Our main buyers are factories within the Volkswagen Group, and we also plan to start producing parts for other top players, such as BMW, Daimler, Mercedes, French carmakers... - said Topalovic.
