Sberbank CEO German Gref said that he was not interested in taking over Hypo Alpe Adria Bank's sister banks in southeast Europe.

Sberbank is not going to bid for Hypo Alpe Adria banks in five countries of southeast Europe, although their acquisition would fit in Sberbank's business strategy, he explained in a statement to APA news agency.

- We do not want to buy more banks, we already have enough of them - Graf stressed on the margins of the European Banking Congress in Frankfurt.

As he explained, Sberbank has no intention to buy new banks within the next three years because it acquired enough banks in 2012, including those in Switzerland, Turkey and Volksbank International in Austria, which operates as part of Sberbank Europe as of this month.

According to him, the focus of their operations over the next three years will be on risk management integration and development.
