Fifty Ikarbus' buses soon in streets of Moscow, new production of ambulances

- Today is the significant date in the history of Ikarbus because we promote vehicle that can not be found in the production programs of the factories in the surrounding countries. It is the vehicle IK-107, i.e. the first low-floor minibus made in Europe. Its retailing price will be highly competitive and it will amount to 55,000 EUR. Minibus IK-107 is driven by the engine of make Cummins of 110 HP that satisfies current euro 3 standards and even euro 4 engine can be built in it if needed. Its capacity is 46 passengers and it can be used in the city and suburban transportation. Its special value represents special platform that enables direct entrance from the pavement to bus to mothers with children and disabled persons - said Srećko Nijemčević, general manager of Ikarbus.

Nijemčević pointed out that the production capacities of Ikarbus exceed needs of the domestic market and he added that Ikarbus would get big chance to sign contracts on export jobs at the International Fair of Commercial Vehicles, which will be held in period from August 29 to September 5 in Moscow. It is expected that the contract will be made on delivery of 50 vehicles to city of Moscow.

According to his words, the second important moment for Ikarbus is procurement of license from French company Tib for production of ambulance that will find its place in the supplemental program of this factory.
