New attempt to sell Jugodent - December 17th set as deadline to submit bids

The entire space and all facilities of the Jugodent factory, which is now in bankruptcy, will be offered for sale at an auction organized by the bankruptcy manager.

The total estimated value of the building and other property on Futoski Put Road is close to RSD 530 million. Prospective buyers have time until December 17th to submit their bids, which will be opened the same day on the premises of the Privatization Agency.

Previous attempts at selling the property of this factory failed because there were no bidders ready to pay the price that high. A bid submitted by Veternik-based Ornament, which offered to pay the price of RSD 114 million, was rejected two months ago.

Jugodent, which used to produce equipment for dentist offices, exported about 80 percent of production before the breakup of SFRY. The company had 1,450 workers before the war, and at the time when bankruptcy was declared, in July 2009, the number of employees dropped to about 300.
