Bulgarian concern "Intertrust", which bought factory "Zastava - kovačnica" last year, invested over 5m EUR in Kragujevac-based company in 2006 and it plans to invest another 2m EUR in its development.

According to the words of CEO Siniša Otaševića, three presses for cold rolling will be soon installed in "Kovačnica" (Blacksmith shop), which will be the first of the kind in this part of Europe. They will enable higher competitiveness of Kragujevac-based company, because its products will be cheaper on the market. "Kovačnica" employs 550 workers and the use of capacities after privatization rose to 70%.

Company annually produces about 7,000 tons of castings and, according to the plans of "Intertrust", introduction of new technologies and appearance on new markets will result in tripling of production in the next two years and production of more than 20,000 tons of castings per year.
