The announcement that the US company Watson Pharmaceuticals completed the acquisition of the Actavis Group for USD 4.25 billion was quickly followed by an announcement of the consolidation of ownership in Leskovac-based Zdravlje, part of the Actavis system.
Holland's Actavis Holding CEE BV has announced an intention to acquire remaining 26.7 percent of Zdravlje shares that are in the possession of minor shareholders, whereas a takeover bid will be launched within 15 days of the date of its approval by the Securities Commission.
According to applicable regulations, the minimum price that the bidder must offer to minor shareholders equals the book value of shares, which amounts to RSD 5,327.95.
The value of Zdravlje shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange grew 93.8 percent last week, to RSD 5,040, exclusively owing to the announcement of this takeover.
Last year Zdravlje reported the business revenue of RSD 3.4 billion and RSD 305.7 billion losses. With the book value of RSD 5,327.95 per share, this company is worth RSD 3 billion (EUR 26.4 million).
