Slovenian "Triglav" bought "Kopaonik osiguranje"

Slovenian insurance company "Triglav" bought 95% of stocks of Belgrade-based insurance company "Kopaonik" and, as it was written in the bid, which was closed on August 9, it has to pay 27.3 EUR for every singly stock, whereas the whole package will cost about 17.5m EUR.
The manager of "Kopaonik", Zoran Lučić, stated that, according to his knowledge, "Triglav" was interested in procurement of DDOR from Novi Sad, as well.
This is the first "Triglav's" procurement in Serbia, whereas it alrady bought minority share in "Lovćen osiguranje" in Montenegro.
He said that "Kopaonik" had 262 stockholders and that the biggest single stockholder was "Atlas sistem d.o.o".
According to the data of the Central Registry, companies and broker companies owned 76.23% of stocks, 15.38% was the property of physical persons, whereas the remaining 8.39% belonged to the State. That package, as Lučić announced, would be sold on the tender, as Law regulates.
There are 17 insurance companies in Serbia at the moment. Two of them, Dunav Osiguranje and DDOR Novi Sad, cover 70% of market. The privatization of these two insurance companies is already in progress and there are 13 buyers interested in them. Some of the insurance companies in Serbia that used to be private property obtained the foreign owners - Zepter Osiguranje was bought by Austrian Group "Unika", whereas Delta Osiguranje became the property of Italian Group "Generali".
