Company cargo-partner opens new office in Dhaka, Bangladesh

The international transport and logistics company cargo-partner has just opened its own office in Dhaka, Bangladesh. With this location, cargo-partner strengthens its network in South Asia, the company said in a release.
The cargo-partner office is located in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, which is bordering India, Burma and the Bay of Bengal. Bangladesh is listed among the “Next Eleven,” meaning that it has a high potential of becoming one of the world’s largest economies in the 21st century. The most important port is Chittagong, which handles around 92% of all import-export trade. The Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport is the largest airport in Bangladesh and handles around 52% of the total arrivals and departures in the country, which equals around 6 million passengers and 150,000 tonnes of cargo, reads the release.
The scope of services in Bangladesh – operated by 11 employees – ranges from everyday transport business like Air and Sea Cargo as well as warehousing and customs brokerage services.
On this occasion, CEO of the cargo-partner group Stefan Krauter says: "Bangladesh is a steadily growing location in South Asia and with 156 million- the 8th most populous country in the world. We expect further growth in the next decade and a rise of the exports from this country. Besides it holds a strong and fast developing textile industry, more and more labour-intensive industrial enterprises are being established in highly productive Bangladesh.”
