Fight against cyber criminal started, Serbia and Montenegro in duty to adjust with the convention

Serbia and Montenegro signed the Council of Europe Convention in fight against cyber criminal, and will have to a\adjust the rules to the convention as soon as parliament is ratified. Convention was adopted in November of 2001 in Budapest. Up till now 42 countries signed the agreement – 38 members of the Council, 4 non members, Canada, Japan, USA and South African Republic.

Convention binds Council countries and countries of European Union to cooperate in the fight against cyber criminal, and obligates developed countries to technically help and educate transitional countries.

Forms of cyber criminal are unauthorized access to information, illegal information, changing, deleting and forging info, disruption of computer systems and putting hardware of software to use illegally.

Other forms are copyright violations, illegal copying on the net and false information.
