Organized by the German-Serbian Business Association (DSW) and the German Business Delegation to Serbia, the famous Oktoberfest festival will be held in Belgrade for the third time.
Over 230 companies, members of the DSW, and numerous sponsors among them have made it possible for people in Belgrade to feel the original spirit, national tradition and culture of Bavaria in the authentic ambiance of Oktobarfest again this year.
The festival will be held Thursday (October 25th) in the office space of the company Messer-Tehnogas in Rakovica, under the patronage of the new German ambassador to Serbia, Heinz Georg Wilhelm, who will get a chance to show his skills by opening the first barrel of beer, which is a tradition.
The organizers said they had provided sufficient quantities of Bavarian specialties, sausages, pretzels, and also announced that an original Bavarian band would entertain about 700 expected guests, mainly from the economy sector of Serbia.
The DSW has decided to give a share of this year's revenue from ticket sales to charities, that is, for SOS Children's Village in Kraljevo.
Oktoberfest in Munich is the world's largest folk festival attracting close to 7 million visitors every year, who drink about 7 million liters of beer during this three-week event.
