GLA Holding wants to invest in Vranje - Austrians interested in tourism, recycling and geothermal energy

Vranje Mayor Zoran Antic and CEO of Austria's GLA Holding Vladimir Vukovic signed Friday (5 October 2012) a Memorandum of Understanding for the Austrian company's investment in Vranje, it was announced on the website of that city.

On that occasion, the two sides talked about investment opportunities in the fields of tourism, solid waste recycling and treatment and geothermal energy.

Antic said that the intensification of cooperation with GLA Holding would quickly give some concrete results. Vladimir Vukovic stressed that GLA Holding's experts had spent the previous two years studying the comparative advantages of Vranje and concluded that there was a strong potential for exploiting renewable energy sources, particularly in the fields of solar and geothermal plants.

Representatives of GLA Holding also visited the sanitary landfill Meteris, Prvonek dam, Vranjska Banja spa resort and Besna Kobila mountain.
