Tender for Assigning the Concession for Building and Utilisation of the Speedway Horgos-Pozega Prolonged until September 7, Three Foreign Consortiums are in Play

Who is going to be assigned for the concession of building, maintaining and utilisation of the speedway from Horgos to Pozega will be announced, as the Minister for Capital Investment, Mr Velimir Ilic, said, until September 7, and not in August as it was defined in the open competition procedure.

The reason for the prolonged deadline is not the season of the holidays, but, as Minister said, the impossibility of the participants to elaborate tenders documentation, that is consisted of 4.500 pages.

For this tender three participants applied, three consortiums that are the biggest in Europe in this field. The concession commission will suggest soon the most auspicious concessor, with whom the contract will be signed.

The identity of the applied business groupsnobody from the Ministry did not want to discover publicly, since the prequalifications have been finished last year. This project considers granting of the concession for the period of 25 years, with the estimated value of 900 mil euros.
