"Carlsberg Srbija" started new cycle of investments

The new cycle of investments in modernization of production and broadening of capacity, worth 10m EUR, is in progress in Brewer "Carlsberg Srbija" in Čelarevo, which operates in the makeup of Danish "Carlsberg Group". These investments will enable increase in production of beer to 1.5m hl on annual basis.

As general manager, Isak Šeks, pointed out, over the last two years, "Carlsberg Group" invested over 95m EUR in modernization and broadening of capacities of the brewer in Čelarevo, which enabled increase in production of beer from 570,000 to 1.1m hl beer per year.

Due to increased scope of works, 80 new workers have been hired, so that the number of employees rose to 440, whereas hiring of another 80 workers in 2007 is in the pipeline.
