Thanks to partnership with USAID and IRD, Association of Footwear Manufacturers "Euro-shoe" gets new craftsmen

The manager of the Organization for International Rehabilitaion and Development (IRD), Jessy Bunch, will deliver diplomas tomorrow (July 27, 2006) to the most successful students of the course for making of upper parts of footwear, which was realized by IRD in cooperaion with the Association of Footwear Manufacturers "Euro-shoe".

The ceremony of granting of diplomas will be held in the premises of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Sremska Mitrovica, whereas all students who successfully ended the course will get the jobs in the footwear industry. The entire program lasted for six months and 30 candidates from Sremska Mitrovica and Šabac attended that course.

Thanks to the new workers, the plan is that the Association of Footwear Manufacturers "Euro-shoe" produces about 170,000 upper parts of footwear in the future, which is the increase by 50% against the former production.

Total value of the project, the framework of which was the aforementioned course, amounted to 36,201 USD, 24,976 USD of which were provided by USAID, whereas the rest, 11,225 USD, was provided by Association "Euro-shoe".
