Government of Serbia to forbid towing trucks on regional roads

Minister of Capital Investments, Velimir Ilić, announced the regulation of the Government of Serbia, according to which the towing trucks will not be allowed to run on the regional roads in Serbia.

The police will be excluding such vehicles from the traffic and direct them to the highways, which can endure that load.

Namely, back in 2005, the Directorate for Roads received complaints from the local self-managements, first of all, Municipality of Srbobran, in which it was pointed out that the regional roads were almost destroyed due to foreign and domestic towing trucks that cruise the alternative roads, in order to avoid paying of toll.
