American businessmen of Serbian origin - brothers Robert and Michael Oklejaš – most seriously interested in procurement of Niš-based "Jastrebac"

American company "Pump Engineering" announced participation in the third auction for sale of Niš-based pump factory "Jastrebac", once leading manufacturer of pumping units in the Balkans, which will be held in mid-August 2006.
General manager of "Jastrebac", Dušan Milić, stated that the "pilot order" for company "Pump Engineering" had been successfully realized and that the owner of that company, Robert Oklejaš, had included his brother Michael, the owner of company "Best Equipment" from Texas, into the talks about privatization of "Jastrebac".
Pointing out that the third auction is being prepared thoroughly and that the Privatization Agency and authorized agencies of the Republic take part in the procedure, Milić said that the estimated value of the assets of "Jastrebac" was 430m CSD and that the State wrote off nearly one half of the debts of that factory in amount of 607m CSD.
