The magazine i.D has done a rare interview with one of the fashion industry’s biggest divas: Karl Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette. In this interview, the Chanel designer chats about his most prized furry possession, who loves shopping, gadgets, iPad, high fashion...

- She is a fan of chasing big fleas in her private garden and making it difficult for her owner to work by jumping on his papers - Lagerfeld (78) says proudly.

This pussy favours walks along the catwalk over walks in the park and prefers hitting the shopping mall or lounging in antique lace to frolics in the garden.

In her free time you can find her sleeping, hiding, running and jumping like mad around the house, but she detests getting wet.

- She doesn’t like to eat on the floor, so I have to put the food on the table. Her dishes are by Goyard. She has one for water, one for her little croquette, and one for her pate - Lagerfeld reveals.

He adds that his favourite feline won`t scratch, because she gets weekly manicures, and explains why she never meows:

- The doctor does her manicure. She hates when we do it ourselves. The only time she makes a scandal is then. [But] everything is done with the eyes. She knows exactly what she wants.

Although Chouppette is as good as gold for her owner, the little wild child has a mischievous side and loves playing up to her beloved maids, Francoise and Marjorie.
