Krka generates income, earnings fall by 10%

Slovenian pharmaceutical company, Krka,announced unaudited financial results for 1H2012, showing increased generation but reduced the final result.

In the first six months, Krka Group sold products and services in the amount of EUR565.3 mil, which is 7% higher than the same period last year. Sales outside Slovenia,which makes 92% of total sales, grew by EUR 41.1mil, i.e. 9%.

Krka itself has generated sales of EUR 521.3mil, which is an increase of 7% compared to the January-June period 2011.

Still, Krka’s main market is Eastern Europe region where this pharmaceutical company generates 30% of its sales. The biggest single market is Russia, where sales totaled EUR114.9 mil, which is a growth of24% compared to the same period last year.

Group operating profit totaled EUR 117.1mil which is 5% lower,while profit before taxation fell by 8% and totaled EUR 108.5 million.Net profit decreased by 3% and totaled EUR 90.1 mil.The company generated net profit of EUR 82.9 mil which is 10% lower result.
