Pharmaceutical company "Štada" from Germany to take over Vršac-based "Hemofarm"?

German pharmaceutical company "Štada" wants to carry out "friendly" takeover of "Hemofarm Concern" from Vršac and it offers 146.97 EUR or 12,345 CSD per stock, which means that the amount that should be paid for all stocks of "Hemofarm" is about 485m EUR or 40,739 billion CSD at the present exchange rate.
Starting July 20, the minor stockholders, through their brokers, will be able to take part in the offer, which was opened three weeks ago.
In the negotiations with the representatives of “Štada“, president of "Hemofarm Concern", Miodrag Babić, represented the interests of 65% of stockholders and he is of the opinion that the German company is the best bidder and strategic partner, with which "Hemofarm" has perspective development.
By the way, the name "Štada" is a famous brand in Europe and it means "standard drugs of German pharmacies“. It has the tradition of over 100 years and it is the 14th on the list of the greatest world manufacturers of generic drugs and the 3rd in Germany.
