Petroleum Industry of Serbia to invest 50m USD in modernization of refineries and production of "eurodiesel"

The manager of Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS), Srđan Bošnjaković, stated that that company was facing big investments into refineries and he announced that the production of "euro-diesel" would start very soon.

Bošnjaković said that 50m USD would be invested in the ecology, i.e. matching with the regulations of European Union (EU), adding that the plan has already been approved by the Administrative Board of NIS and the Government of Serbia. According to his words, "euro-diesel" will be produced in the quantity that will satisfy all needs of Serbian market.

The president of the Administrative Board of NIS, Željko Popović, estimated that the announced investments into refineries and ecology were the only possible at the moment due to the privatization phase in which the company was.
