Government of Serbia to found State Agency for Tourism Development and Fund for crediting of tourism companies

Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services, Bojan Dimitrijević, pointed out that the State Agency for Tourism Development would be established soon in Serbia, which is one of the key innovations in the scope of the planned changes in the current Law on Tourism.

The main tasks of the Agency would be to introduce new tourist destinations and regions, to manage development tourism projects and to make arrangements with the domestic and foreign investors.

Besides, the Government of Serbia will found the Fund for crediting of small and mid-sized tourism companies, which will have about 15m EUR at its disposal. Significant share of the activities of the Fund will be dedicated to the approval long-term credits with the interest rate of 1%.
