Overview
The municipality of Bački Petrovac is located in the southeast part of the region of Bačka, only 25 km away from Nova Sad, the capital of Vojvodina. This area, which covers 158 km2, is inhabited by the population of 14,681. With administrative centre Bački Petrovac, there are three more settlements in the municipality: Kulpin, Gložan and Maglić.
Population
The population of the Municipality is comprised mainly of two nationalities- Slovaks (66.4%) and Serbs (25.7%). Other nationalities represent 7.8% of the total number of inhabitants. According to the data for the year 2005, the municipality counts total of 2,093 unemployed persons.
Economy
Deriving from the evident location advantages of the municipality of Bački Petrovac, the greatest part of domestic product comes from agricultural sector and food production. Apart from traditional agricultural production, food processing, seed production, textile industry, chemical industry and stone carving take significant part of the Bački Petrovac economy.
Infrastructure
The local road system of the municipality provides access to the most important international road routes via relatively short links. The most important routes passing through Bački Petrovac are the regional R 102 highway that links up to the international E 662 highway (Hungary- Bački Breg, Sombor, Odžaci) in one direction; and via Nova Sad (25 km) to the international E 75 road (Subotica - Novi Sad - Belgrade) in the other direction.
Tourism
Cultural monuments in the Municipality represent the richness of the cultural, historical and ethnographic heritage of this area. In addition, there is a great potential for hunting tourism development.

Site description:
Industrial zone is conveniently located next to the Danube-Tisa-Danube Canal, 400 m away from the principal road Novi Sad- Odžaci- Sombor. Railroad tracks of the Novi Sad- Sombor route intersect the industrial zone. The plot is registered as other undeveloped construction land. The ground is level.
Service infrastructure:
The Industrial Zone has access to energy, water and gas supply systems, as well as to telecom services. All utility/infrastructure routes follow the road routes. Construction of sub-main sewer reticulation is due to be completed until the end of 2005. There are access roads within the industrial zone.
Additional information:
Lease of land for the period of 99 years is possible. The shortest possible period necessary for obtaining all the required permissions and approvals for construction on the site is 40 days. Some of the necessary planning and regulatory documentation already exists, such as Bački Petrovac General Development Plan, but for any further development and construction, it is necessary that the Detailed Master Plan is created.

Site description:
The site is located 400 m off the principal road Novi Sad-Odžaci-Sombor. It is registered as undeveloped state owned construction land, which consists of several plots in the cadastral register. A part of the ground is uneven so the consequence is that the lowest part is getting filled with water in certain periods.
Service infrastructure:
The site has access to energy, water and gas supply systems, as well as to telecom services. All utility/infrastructure routes follow the road routes. Construction of sub-main sewer reticulation is due to be completed until the end of 2005. There are access roads to the site.
Additional information:
Lease of land for the period of 20 years is possible. The shortest possible period necessary for obtaining all the required permissions and approvals for construction on the site is 40 days. Some of the necessary planning and regulatoy documentation already exists, such as Bački Petroac General Development Plan, but any further development and construction would be carried out in accordance with other development plans as well.

Site description:
The plot as conveniently located 80 m away from the principal road Novi Sad- Odžaci- Sombor. It is registered as `developed state owned construction land`. The ground is level, and the plot shape is rectangular. There is a ground floor structure (business premises), with solid structural system and in good condition.
Service infrastructure:
The site has access to energy, water and gas supply systems. Construction of sub-main sewer reticulation is due to be completed until the end of 2005. There are access roads to the sate.
Additional information:
Lease of land for the period of 20 years is possible. The required planning and regulatory documentation already exists. such as the Bački Petrovac General Development Plan.
