August 7 to see Pirot-based Prvi maj under hammer - Inicial property portion price totalling 4.11 million euros

August 7, 2012, should see Pirot-based clothing industry, Prvi maj, undergoing public bidding in the Agency for Privatization. The future owner of the factory will have to set aside 4.113.453 euros for a portion of Prvi maj property, without retail network.

Last year, exports of Prvi maj products totaled more than 5million euros. The plant has a bit less than 1500 employees that receive their regular salaries.

In most of the cases, Prvi maj performs loan jobs, i.e.practically it rents its staff to the European garment manufacturers such asHugo Boss and others.

The most interested buyer for Prvi maj is Slovenian Mura, a part of English AHA group.

After terminating unsuccessful privatization with domestic consortium Jabuka and Irva investicije, Prvi maj is undergoing restructuring process, i.e. it is state-owned company.
