Representatives of Italy's Aunde Italia Group, manufacturer of seats for the automotive industry, announced today that about EUR 1 million would be invested in Jagodina-based car seat plant that was going to employ 50 workers.
Jagodina Mayor Dragan Markovic Palma announced that he would sign an agreement with the new investor in 15 days, adding that the investor's representatives had toured the industrial zone in Jagodina and talked with the city officials about the opening of a new plant.
- All necessary documents will be forwarded to the Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SIEPA) to do an assessment and determine the amount of incentives to grant per newly employed worker. It is well known that Jagodina offers best conditions to foreign investors in Serbia and that we are the most efficient municipality when it comes to documentation and permits for the construction of factories - Markovic said at a press conference in the City Hall.
Aunde Italia's representative Ciro Lotti stressed that that company was already working with Fiat, adding that they had come to Jagodina at the proposal of the owner of the Italian factory Andrea Confezioni, which is building a factory for producing tarpaulin covers for cars in Jagodina.
Paola Taveli, owner of Andrea Confezioni, visited the construction site today and said she was satisfied with the speed at which work was done. According to Dragan Markovic, that factory should be put in operation in late August.
