Jagodina's ZOO officially put into operation

The manager of ZOO Beograd, Vuk Bojović, opened the ZOO in Jagodina yesterday. That ZOO is the third in Serbia, next to Belgrade and Palić, with about 100 different animals.
Construction of the ZOO in Jagodina on surface of 20,074 square meters started on April 3 and cost 30 million CSD.
- The Municipality invested 40% and the donators provided 60% of the means - said the Mayor of Jagodina, Dragan Marković Palma, and pointed out that the biggest donator had been ZOO Beograd.
He estimated that the invested means would be returned in eight months. The ZOO in Jagodina is settled in the complex of the City Park "Đurđevo brdo", which is the monument to the nature and employs 30 people.
The ZOO is built according to the world and national standards - it has pedestrian zones for children, old and disabled persons and it has high-quality infrastructure. There is also a coffee shop in the ZOO.
