Investors from Scandinavia and Baltic countries, who have recently opened a hypermarket near Varazdin, plan to acquire a market share of between 20 and 30 percent in Croatia.
They also develop their retail business in Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Estonia, Letonia, Lithuania and other CEE countries in addition to Croatia.
- We see Croatia as a country with the biggest growth potential because it will soon become an EU member state and acquire a strategic position on future boundaries of the EU. This is why the analyses of proposed projects in other cities in Croatia are performed.
- We are currently analyzing locations for our new offices in Zagreb, Split, Osijek, Rijeka, Pula and Karlovac, as well as in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and even in some countries in the Middle East.
- Acquisition of one or more market chains in Croatia is under preparation - regional media cited Knut Kvisvik, chairman of the Managing Board of B-Hyper, as saying.
Over EUR 5 million were invested in the first hypermarket that was opened in May. This facility spans 5,000 square meters, employs about 100 workers and offers close to 30,000 products.
- B-Hyper is a family-oriented hypermarket offering a high-standard service in a pleasant, clean and accessible interior - says Karlo Kucan, manager of the hypermarket in Varazdin.
