Novi Sad-based "Metals banka" strengthened its credit potential with loan approved by EBRD in amount of 7m EUR

European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development (EBRD) and ''Metals banka'' from Novi Sad have signed the contract on approval of credit to that Serbian bank in amount of 7m EUR, which will be used for approval of loans to entrepreneurs and small and mid-sized enterprises in Serbia.

In the premises of the ASsociation of Banks of Serbia, the contract has been signed by the manager of the Office of European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development for Serbia and Montenegro, Dragica Filipović Čefi, and general manager of "Metals banka" Ananije Pavičević.

Dragica Filipović Čefi said that that credit line was the part of the arrangement for the western Balkans, which was realized by EBRD in cooperation with the European Agency for Reconstruction (EAR).

Pavičević explained that the means taken from EBRD would be used for mid-term crediting of entrepreneurs and small and mid-sized enterprises and he stated that the credits would be approved in so-called installments of micro credits of up to 10,000 EUR and small credits of up to 125,000 EUR on period of 5 years with the grace period of 2 years.
