National airplanes could soon be a subject to additional technical checkups on landings on international airports.

Syndicate of Airways Mechanics of Serbia claims that this demand was made on Saturday, April 2nd 2005, by the World Association of Aeromechanics, after a phone conference of all members.

According to SSVMS report association asked airport officials of all countries in which JAT Airways planes are landing to do an additional technical control of the planes because of the frequent incidents.

Mechanics, who have been on strike for 19 days, are reminding the officials that 2 of the planes have already been grounded on international flights, which shows that seven Tunisians can not maintain the JAT fleet. “ATP 72” did not manage to adjust the plane tail, and therefore could not take off  for Tirana, and “boing 737-300” was sent back 2 times during take off in Dubai.
