Indjija-based Dunav-plast is planning construction of the new facility for production of plastic medical devices in the industrial zone of the town.
As Milan Dzakula, the owner of Dunav-plast, said for eKapija, the facility construction should start during the summer.
- We expect to obtain all necessary permits in the next 15 days.
So far, the company production has been carried out in a 400 square meter section. Monthly production totals between 1.000.000 and 1.200.000 laboratory dishes but in order to fulfill its commitments to customers, it is necessary to increase business scope.
- Apart from the domestic market, Dunav-plast production is exported to the markets of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Despite the fact the staff work in three shifts in order to fulfill contracted terms, we are still in lack. Therefore, we need new facility so that we could increase the scope of business activities and double production. We are negotiating the placement of our products to the Croatian and Macedonian markets but until new facility is not finished, it will be very difficult to generate additional quantities for new markets.
As Dzakula said, the new facility should be finished by spring 2013. It will occupy 1.400 square meters and the construction investment will total 500.000 – 600.000 euros.
Equipment for the production of plastic medical devices will be imported from Germany while the industrial company will continue cooperation with Vrnjacka Banja – based Celik-pak when it comes to product packing.
