A million dollar vacuum cleaner

It's not a product you'd normally consider for a gold-plated makeover, partly because those rich enough to afford it would probably employ their own cleaners. But this eye-catching $1million vacuum cleaner has so much 'bling' it might even make the super-rich consider doing some housework, Daily Mail writes.

The GoVacuum GV62711 has been described as a 'one-of-a-kind, commercial grade, 24k gold plated, cleaning machine.

Its makers have billed the one-off vacuum as the kind of household cleaning tool owned by those who have 'a yacht in the ocean, and a rare exotic car in your garage alongside your private jet.'

Just 100 of the special cleaners will be produced, each one engraved with a serial number and a certificate of authenticity.

Its creators, GoVacuum.com, insist the machine is not just a gimmick or a fake product.

Justin Haver, Vice President of sales and marketing at the firm, said: 'Six months ago I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and was blinded by golden light in my half-asleep daze, I thought why is there not a gold vacuum for sale? So, it took us about six months into creating the GV62711 24k gold-plated vacuum. 'Is it worth it's weight in gold? No, but even the status and exclusivity of owning a vacuum like this can't be measured in dollar and cent's.'
