Privatization of company "Zastava Trucks" may be completed prior to end of 2006

DEputy of general manager of Group "Zastava vozila" (Zastava vehicles), Miljko Kokić, stated that the privatization of factory "Zastava kamioni" (Zastava Trucks) could be completed by the end of the year 2006.

He said that the privatization of "Zastava Automobili" (Zastava automobiles) should follow the sale of "Zastava kamioni", but that that sale would be delayed "in order to wait for the company to enhance as much as possible".

Kokić pointed out that the sale of model "Zastava 10" went well, adding that, starting 2007, that automobile would be produced in Serbia, which would make it possible for "Zastava" to export that model to the surrounding countries duty free, thanks to the agreement on free trade.
